Liz + Jason | Cape Cod Wedding | The Coonamessett Inn | Falmouth, MA

As most of you know, I love the beach and everything that goes along with it. When I met up with Liz and Jason to discuss their wedding and to see if we were a good fit, I knew right away we were a match! We had a lot of similarities and a love for the beach was one of the connections! A Cape Cod Wedding was the appropriate setting for this couple. It turns out that I went to high school with Jason and used to hang out with him and a bunch of other friends at his mom’s house all the time! A fun night to photograph a beautiful couple and spend some time remembering those good old days with the Ashland boys; if you know them, you know it was going to be an epic night! I was not disappointed!

Liz and Jason, you are meant for each other. It was a FUN party celebrating your love! They got married at the Coonamessett Inn down in Falmouth, MA. Liz, your attention to detail for your wedding was very evident and showed through the whole night. An intimate ceremony at a small chapel in Falmouth was ideal. Bridal portraits at the Nobska Lighthouse in Woods Hole was the perfect setting to a Cape Cod wedding; this lighthouse is an icon. We had enough time to head to a private garden to enjoy a quiet moment just for them on their wedding day. The reception room was SURROUNDED by family and close friends. All of them were incredibly happy and ready to dance the night away with the happy couple. I had so much fun working with you both on your wedding and absolutely LOVED your wedding from start to finish! I can’t wait to hang out with you again and I hope you had an amazing Honeymoon in Hawaii! Enjoy some of my favorites!

Our Wedding Anniversary

Happy 3^rd Wedding Anniversary to my husband! I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since we said I do! We have a new tradition to take pictures at the exact spot we read our vows to each other.

As I mentioned last year, I thought we were always strong but didn’t realize how much stronger we can get. I will continue to dance at random times and go on new adventures with you! Sean you are my rock, my best friend and I hope we always have fun and laugh constantly. Love you babe!

4th of July | Humarock Beach

As most of you know I love the beach which means I love summer! The 4^th of July is my favorite time of the year especially at Humarock Beach. The 3^rd of July is the big night down there with bonfires and fireworks on the beach. Best night ever! I mean, how can you go wrong with wearing bathing suits, hanging out at the beach, the sand, drinks and cute summer dresses. It makes me so happy.

We played corn hole (yes that is me bragging), swam in the frigid cold ocean, cheers with my Cumberland Farms Chug Jug. If you don’t have one yet you need too purchase one! Chased the sunsets each night and I’m incredibly thankful we did not miss them. Sunsets for the records books this year. We skipped rocks in the river. Having fun with my cousins while playing with sparklers. It was a great time for me to practice photographing them. Once of the best parts of the weekend was pretending we were in the Disney movie Tangled letting Lanterns go up in the air while making wishes. The lanterns are a lot of work but worth it in the end as you can see in the pictures below. Of course you can’t celebrate the 4^th of July without watching fireworks. Enjoy my four day weekend at Humarock Beach with my family.

Priscilla Beach Engagement Shoot| Plymouth, MA

I met Jen at her best friend Jackie’s wedding a year ago. Little did I know that her fiance Cam had proposed just two weeks prior, and you may remember reading about that last summer (check out Jackie’s wedding post here!). Jen was the Maid of Honor, and was extremely helpful to me! Getting to know Jen throughout the wedding day was a blast, and ever more so when we reached the dance floor. Jen and Cam were living it up! Just a few short months later she had reached out to me to see if I was available for her wedding date, and I literally jumped out of my seat! I was so excited! I knew that I would love being a part of this couple’s wedding day, so it was a perfect match.

We met up back in the fall so I could get to know them a little better, and I found out they met while attending UMass Amherst. Jen is a Registered Nurse at Beth Deaconess Medical Center and Cam is a Paramedic. They have a tough schedule! With that in mind, we decided to wait to take their engagement pictures until the spring time. Mother Nature got in our way at the beginning of May so we decided to hold off until Memorial Day weekend. As we talked about possible locations for the shoot, Jen told me that she grew up going to Priscilla Beach down in Plymouth, MA and wanted to go there. As a beach goer myself I knew exactly what she was talking about and what it meant to her. She mentioned that she wanted to work with the tide schedule and try to get pictures at low tide, giving us more beach and sand to work with. The stars aligned and it was an amazing evening on the beach with Jen and Cam at Priscilla Beach in Plymouth, Mass! It might have taken some time, but that wait was COMPLETELY WORTH IT! This is a dream engagement shoot for me and one of my business goals! Check that one off the list!!!

Jen and Cam I cannot wait for your wedding in September at the Duxbury Bay Maritime School in Duxbury, MA, it can’t come soon enough. Enjoy some of my favorites from your engagement shoot!

Destination Portrait Session with The Kennedy’s | Whistler

When Sean and I made our travel plans to visit Whistler I knew I wanted to get amazing photographs of us on our new adventure. It had been a while since Sean and I were in front of the camera together, so I thought to myself “why not schedule a portrait session with a local photographer in the Vancouver area?” My hashtag for 2016 is ‘Why not’ so I reached out to Matt and Carissa Kennedy, who are a husband and wife team! Luckily they were available and we met them on our first full day in Whistler. They were incredibly kind and drove to Whistler to meet us and walk around taking pictures. Whistler is our NEW favorite destination, and I figured it was now time to share our photos from our portrait session.

I always want to remember these experiences with my husband, and to have someone document it in pictures is even more special. I would encourage more couples to do the same! Even if it’s just five minutes on your vacation I promise it’s worth it. I went through our gallery about a hundred times before I could pick one photo to post! I can’t express how fun it is to walk around a new destination with your best friend, hand in hand. We laughed, joke, danced, cuddled and nuzzled together. It’s a great and really special way to reconnect with each other.

What I remember the most about this portrait session was the connection Sean and I have, and all the gorgeous views of this great ski town. I’ve already mentioned to my husband that we should plan on going there again! Whistler has a special place in our hearts now.

We walked around with Matt and Carissa and had lunch together afterwards. I can’t thank you both enough for the time we spent together and the photos we will cherish. We are already talking about going back to Whistler again, we LOVED it! We hope to see Whistler and Matt and Carissa soon!
