We’re Having A Baby!!!!!

You probably haven’t heard the good news yet, but we are expecting our first child this year!  It’s hard to describe but we are INCREDIBLY excited to be having a baby!  To be honest we were planning on sharing at 3 months, but then the time went by and we just weren’t ready yet.  We have kept this to ourselves and our closest family and friends because this is extremely personal and it’s been a LONG journey for us to get to this point.  It’s actually been nice to have this special moment we have wanted for so long to ourselves.  I will be blogging next week about our pregnancy journey, but for now we will leave you with a few updates.  I haven’t slept through the night once since being pregnant.  My body is ready for one feeding in-between 2-3 am (I wake up every night), now I have to add at least 2-3 more.  I’ve been living in leggings like it’s a full time job, feeling comfortable is key! 

The few things I crave the most are carbs, Stouffer’s French bread pizza (random I know) and chips.  All the bad stuff of course!  I’m trying to keep a well-balanced diet.  Putting on shoes is already a process, didn’t expect this to happen so soon.  I can’t stay up late, which was a problem before being pregnant and now it’s even worse!  My new bedtime is around 8:05pm!  I feel so old LOL. 

What will surprise you is that I’m due in June!  So soon, yay!!!  I’m already 22+ weeks along in our journey, and we are not finding out the gender.  It’s the biggest surprise of our life and we love not knowing!  And no, we have not discussed names yet.  The baby is the size of a coconut at the moment, healthy and doing well.  This past week my husband Sean got to feel the baby move for the first time!  Such an incredibly powerful moment!  I always say to Sean, “this does not feel real yet”!  I know it will when we have a screaming baby in our arms!

Keith and Erin met at a cookout; little did they know they would be saying I Do a few years later at Arrowhead Acres in Uxbridge, MA.  The beautiful bride got ready at her parents house in Natick, MA, while the guys got ready in Ashland, MA.  Unfortunately, we ran out of time and had to rush to get to the ceremony which left  Erin and Keith unable to have their first look together alone.  Erin had a sweet ride to the ceremony.  Her dad drove her in his Corvette right up to the aisle.  It was incredibly special to see Keith’s reaction  to his beautiful bride walking down the aisle.  The intimate ceremony  of 75 guests under the pavilion was meant to be for the happy couple.  Afterwards we took family pictures and then my favorite part, bridal portraits!  It was really fun to have this time with the couple.  Even though they were not able to have a first look, we did have extra time for them to have a special moment to themselves.  My second shooter and I set them up in a beautiful location,  Keith whispered something in Erin’s ear and as we were photographing we had to stop to let them enjoy being a married couple together for the first time!  It was so SWEET!!!  Talk about melting your heart! 

Keith and Erin, your wedding was a blast!  You have amazing family and friends that helped out at the wedding to make it special for you.   From  Diane helping set up the venue and decorations, to the groomsmen creating an amazing cupcake tier, and last but not least,  the bonfire on  a Fall evening!  Your wedding was so much fun!  I hope you had an amazing honeymoon!

    Thank you so very much for featuring us this week. Your piece was absolute beautiful! Far beyond beautiful actually. I can’t even begin to tell you how much this touched my heart. Also, thank you again for being the most amazing wedding photographer we could have dreamed of. Not only that, you were a huge help to me throughout that whole day! I don’t know what I would have done without you and all your expertise and support. Thank you again, for everything!!

Lisa’s parents’ house was the ideal location for the intimate, charming backyard wedding that the couple was looking for.  The day of the wedding this incredible, and incredibly laid back, couple drove to her parents’ together.  It was really great to see them just look so happy and relaxed when I arrived.

Andy’s two nieces were the flower girls and his nephew was the ring bearer, and he might have been the cutest ring bearer you could imagine!  The wild flowers and greenery created an incredible backdrop for the day, and in front of family and close friends it was clear that this was the perfect place for their special day.  Lisa wore her mother’s wedding dress, and it was immediately evident that it meant a lot to both of them!  The ceremony went perfectly, and afterwards it was time for portraits with the bride and groom and their families.  The property gave us nearly unlimited options, so I felt spoiled as the photographer in this amazing location!

The guests then enjoyed a toast to the happy couple, and everyone sat down to a fabulous dinner.  Once dinner had finished it was off to Sweet’s in Worcester for dancing and dessert!  Andy and Lisa made their entrance for the guests via elevator, and then it was time to dig in.  The desserts just didn’t stop coming, and you could even decorate your own cupcake as a wedding favor.  The only thing that could truly stop the desserts was dancing, and Lisa even broke out a different dress for this part of the night.

The rest of the night was spent dancing with friends and family, and just having the time of their lives.  Andy and Lisa, I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to capture this very unique wedding day.  I’m so glad that you were able to have this day together, and I wish you the best in your marriage.  Finding each other is the best gift in the world!

Love is Sweet!  A pretty in Pink Bridal Shower!

I have always wanted to be part of a styled shoot, but to be involved in this Pretty in Pink inspired Bridal Shower shoot was a dream come true!  I can sometimes be a lot of talk when it comes to achieving goals, but sometimes you just have to take the leap, put yourself out there and DO IT!  How can you not love ‘Pretty in Pink’ color palette?  Mollie Marrocco Events designed the gorgeous colors, selected the prettiest place settings and Bloom Floral Designs picked out the prettiest flowers!  The best part of this project: it was a group effort!

A few surprises; for instance, who doesn’t love cotton candy?  We went one step further and paired it with champagne, MY FAVORITE!  For the grand finale macarons for dessert!  This was such a fun shoot to be a part of, so please enjoy some of my favorite images! The only way to describe this Duxbury Bay wedding is PERFECT!  Upon my arrival I learned that the makeup and hair artists had already completed the entire bridal party.  Wait a minute, WHAT?!?!  This started our entire day ahead of schedule, and I can’t thank Adrianna and Alissa Zloger enough.  You guys did an amazing job and set the tone for the day!

Shortly after getting some quick bridal party shots with the girls one of the groomsmen said he had a question: Would I be willing to head to the beach with the groomsmen and groom and photograph them all jumping in the ocean?  YES!  Of course I would, and we had a blast getting some terrific shots before they had even begun to get ready.  As a special addition, Jen and Cam’s dog Ryder joined in the fun!

It was also during this time that Cam let me know he had two surprises for the bride-to-be, which was even more special since they were dead-set on not seeing each other before she came down the aisle.  The first was opened right before they were introduced at the reception, and was a gorgeous second  ring.  However, the second gift required a little trickery (which I am always happy to help with!).  While the wedding party quickly stepped out to get some pictures on the beautiful patio, their DJ and co-conspirator Erik (DJX Studio) set up a screen and projector.  Once the wedding party came back in, Cam appeared on screen with a countdown of every single day for the past year counting down to the wedding!  It was AMAZING, and everyone there had to wipe their eyes as they watched.

Cam had warned me in advance that I might have to scoop him off the floor when he saw Jen, and who could blame him!  It was incredibly sweet, but I have to say that Jen has a contagious smile that can light up a room.  I did my best to capture that, and certainly won’t forget screaming about the picture-perfect setting and incredible light we had during your portraits!

Jen and Cam, it was an honor to be the photographer for your wedding.  From the beach to the dance floor, which was PACKED all night, it was truly a pleasure.  I hope you enjoyed your photographs and your honeymoon in St. Lucia!  I also have to thank Lemon Drop Team (web info) for their phenomenal work in keeping this day ticking over.  We never missed a beat and ran on time the whole day, and I hope to work with you again in the future!
